Emergency Care Center Receives Recognition From The American Heart Association
The American Heart Association (AHA) recently recognized Sturdy Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Care Center with a 2016 Silver Referring Award for its continued success in using the Mission: Lifeline® STEMI program.
AHA is a non-profit organization that fosters appropriate cardiac care in an effort to reduce disability and deaths caused by cardiovascular disease and stroke. The AHA developed Mission: Lifeline to transform heart attack patient outcomes by connecting healthcare providers, prehospital providers and community stakeholders in a proactive system of care that saves and improves lives—from symptom onset through cardiac rehabilitation.
This quality achievement award shows that Sturdy Memorial Hospital applies the most up-to-date evidence-based treatment guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes in the community we serve.
