The new eye screening device captures a quick, non-invasive series of photographs of the back of the eye. These images are then analyzed using an FDA-cleared AI platform to detect signs of diabetic retinopathy. The process takes only a few minutes and can be performed during a regular appointment with a primary care provider, eliminating the need for a separate visit to an eye specialist for many patients.
