Simon Cornelissen, MD is an orthopedic surgeon at Sturdy Health Orthopedic & Sports Medicine in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Dr. Cornelissen received his Doctor of Medicine from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his internship in surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery at Yale University, followed by a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery through the Harvard Combined Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Cornelissen earned his Bachelor of Arts in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, cum laude, from Princeton University.

What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?
Hand and arm issues, even if minor, have a huge impact on our daily lives. Helping address these issues can be complex and challenging, but successful treatment of these problems can have a big impact on my patients' quality of life.

What are your personal interests?
I enjoy skiing, hiking, sailing - and anything outdoors!
