Sturdy Health offers both inpatient rehabilitation services within Sturdy Memorial Hospital and outpatient rehabilitation services in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located at 100 O'Neil Boulevard, Attleboro, MA.

Our Services

Speech-Language Pathology is used to improve communication and treat cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Occupational Therapy is used to improve your ability to complete daily living tasks.
Physical Therapy is used to restore physical strength, mobility, balance, and endurance.

Outpatient Rehabilitation Services

Sturdy Health's outpatient rehabilitation services are designed to help patients regain function, improve mobility, and enhance quality of life following injury, illness, or surgery. Our dedicated team of licensed therapists—including Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and Physical Therapists (PTs)—work collaboratively to deliver personalized, evidence-based care in a compassionate and supportive environment.

We communicate closely with referring providers to ensure continuity of care and timely updates on patient progress. For providers within the Sturdy Health network, we are able to share information and coordinate treatment plans seamlessly through our integrated electronic medical record system. This allows for efficient collaboration, real-time updates, and a more connected care experience for our patients. We also maintain a strong partnership with our orthopedic and sports medicine providers and surgeons, allowing for integrated rehabilitation services that support optimal recovery outcomes.

Our Facility

Builiding 100 O'Neil Blvd, AttleboroOur outpatient rehabilitation center is located in a modern, state-of-the-art building that opened in 2021, less than one mile from Sturdy Memorial Hospital. The space is equipped with advanced rehabilitation equipment to support a wide range of therapy needs, from neurological recovery to orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. The facility is fully accessible, with elevator access, and offers ample free parking for our patient's convenience.

Specialized Expertise

We are proud to offer advanced techniques and certifications, including:

  • TPI-Certified Physical Therapist – specializing in golf-specific movement assessment and performance enhancement
  • Graston Technique® Certified Therapist – for soft tissue mobilization and pain relief
  • Dry Needling – performed by two certified PTs to relieve muscle tension and improve mobility
  • Lymphedema Management – provided by a certified Lymphedema Therapist
  • Swallow Studies – conducted with radiology to evaluate swallowing abnormalities
  • Custom Splinting – expertly crafted by our OTs for injury support and recovery
  • CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) – supporting performance enhancement and safe return to sport or activity
  • Board-Certified Clinical Specialists – therapists with advanced training and certification in their respective fields

Lymphedema Therapy

If you suffer from lymphedema our certified lymphedema specialists can help alleviate your symptoms. While lymphedema is a life-long condition, it can be managed. At the lymphedema clinic, we perform complete decongestive therapy which consists of:

  • Manual lymph drainage (MLD)
  • Compression therapy
  • Exercise
  • Skin and nail care
  • Instructions in self care

MLD is a gentle manual technique that involves re-routing the fluid to lymph nodes that are functioning. After MLD, compression bandaging is applied to further reduce the swelling. Upon completion of therapy, compression garments are worn to prevent future swelling.

Cancer Rehabilitation

Our cancer rehabilitation program and OncologyFITT Program focuses on improving the lives of the survivors who suffer from the side effects caused by cancer treatments. The program provides coordinated cancer rehabilitation supported by a team of specially trained clinicians and providers including physical, occupational and speech therapists.

COVID-19 Rehabilitation

Evidence has shown that many COVID-19 survivors have continued physical and cognitive long term effects after initial recovery from the coronavirus. Rehabilitation services can provide this population with unique, individualized and specialized care for post-COVID patients. With a multidisciplinary approach, a number of services can be provided based on the patient's need and symptoms.

Some symptoms that we can address for COVID-19 survivors:

  • Joint pain and weakness
  • Deconditioning and activity tolerance
  • Functional impairments
  • Gait and balance problems
  • Dysphagia
  • Communication issues
  • Difficulties with activities of daily living including eating, bathing, dressing

Patients that are eligible are those who have tested positive for COVID-19 and require assistance to address the virus's long term affects.
