The Physical Therapy department at Sturdy offers aquatic physical therapy at the Attleboro Downtown YMCA- Balfour Pool. Treatment sessions are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

You may benefit from aquatic physical therapy if you have:

  • Low back pain with little or no benefit from other treatments
  • Neck pain
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Pregnancy-related pain
  • Fibromyalgia or other myofascial pain syndromes
  • Joint hypermobility disorders
  • Total joint replacements
  • Post-operative orthopedic surgeries including spine surgeries

If you would like to participate in the aquatic physical therapy program, you will need a referral from a physician or nurse practitioner as well as a therapy evaluation. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call (508) 342-1104.
