Xingzi “Shirley” Shangguan, MD

Xingzi (Shirley) Shangguan, MD is a family medicine, sports medicine, and primary care provider at Sturdy Health Primary Care – Plainville. Dr. Shangguan earned her Doctor of Medicine at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies and her Bachelor of Arts in biology from Vassar College, in Poughkeepsie, New York. She completed her residency in family medicine at NYU-Langone Brooklyn in Brooklyn, New York. Board-certified in family medicine with additional qualifications in sports medicine, Dr. Shangguan is skilled in providing holistic and acute care, supported by certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support. Dr. Shangguan’s prior roles at UMass Harrington and Jackson Urgent Care/University of Miami Family Medicine Clinic have refined her approach to patient-centered care.
