Sturdy Health's primary care providers (PCPs) care for you and your family through every stage of life, from infancy through older adulthood. Your PCP provides routine checkups, preventive care, immunizations, and treatment for common illnesses while helping you stay healthy over the long term.
With primary care locations throughout the communities we serve, it's easy to find a provider close to home. You'll also stay connected to Sturdy Health's network of specialists and the advanced services available at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
Our primary care team includes physicians specializing in internal medicine, family medicine, and pediatrics. Internists primarily care for adults, while family medicine physicians care for patients of all ages, and pediatricians care for patients 18 and under.
When you're sick, we offer same-day appointments whenever possible. Call your PCP if you need treatment for:
- Flu-like symptoms
- Allergies
- Minor injuries, such as sprains
- Lacerations
- Abdominal pain
Urgent Care
If your PCP's office is closed and you need prompt medical attention for a non-life-threatening illness or injury, our urgent care in Plainville is open 7 days a week. For more serious medical emergencies, our Emergency Department at Sturdy Memorial Hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.
