Sturdy Health Named Among ‘Top Places to Work in Healthcare’
The list was published by Becker’s Healthcare, a leading medical industry media outlet

Attleboro, MA (May 21, 2025) – Sturdy Health was named among of the ‘150 top places to work in health care’ in 2025, according to a new list published by Becker’s Hospital Review, a leading medical trade publication.
The annual list highlights healthcare organizations that go above and beyond in supporting their staff, including “comprehensive benefits, opportunities for both personal and professional growth, inclusive and empowering work environments, and resources that promote a healthy work-life balance.”
“Being named among the top places to work in healthcare is a testament to both our culture, and the incredible people who make up the Sturdy team,” said Natalie Cook, Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “As we expand and invest in new facilities, we remain just as focused on creating a work environment where staff feel valued and supported.”
The publication pointed out that Sturdy “employees benefit from an extensive package that includes employer-funded pension plans, wellness programs like Hinge Health, tuition and loan forgiveness, and voluntary benefits.” It also praised the health system’s employee recognition programs, mentorship opportunities, and high employee satisfaction scores.
“Being a great place to work matters to us. It’s something we focus on every day,” said Aimee Brewer, President and CEO of Sturdy Health. “People have options when it comes to where they work, and that motivates us to build a workplace where our team feels supported and finds real meaning in what they do."
The recognition comes during a landmark period for Sturdy Health. The health system recently broke ground on a new state-of-the-art Cancer & Specialty Care Medical Office Building - a 60,000-square-foot facility that will bring a wide range of specialty services under one roof. Cancer care services will be provided by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as part of collaboration announced in March. Simultaneously, Sturdy is also moving forward with an ambitious Emergency Department expansion, creating a 38,000-square-foot facility that will dramatically increase capacity.
Established on April 14, 1913, Sturdy Health is an independent, not-for-profit health system comprised of a 126-bed acute care hospital, 25 primary and specialty care medical offices and an Urgent Care Center dedicated to providing a broad range of healthcare services to the residents of communities in Southeastern Massachusetts and neighboring Rhode Island. Sturdy’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of the people in our communities through kindness, compassion, and convenient access to the highest quality care. In keeping with its mission, Sturdy Health is currently undertaking a multi-year strategic master plan initiative, which will expand its footprint for greater care access, transform its facilities, and the experience provided to its patients and care team members.
