Temporary Changes Include Complimentary Valet Parking and New Registration Location
ATTLEBORO, MA (Aug. 11, 2025) – Beginning Monday, August 18, Sturdy Memorial Hospital will offer complimentary valet parking for Emergency Department patients and relocate registration for outpatient services to the hospital’s main entrance. These temporary changes are designed to improve convenience for patients during a hospital modernization project.
Construction is now underway on a 38,000-square-foot Emergency Department expansion aimed at meeting the region’s growing need for timely, high-quality care. Once complete, the new Emergency Department will include 50 private rooms, two state-of-the-art trauma bays, rapid triage areas, on-site imaging and CT scanning, and a dedicated 12-bed behavioral health unit.
Sturdy Health appreciates the community’s patience and support during this period of transformation. The new Emergency Department will significantly improve access, efficiency, and the overall patient experience.

Complimentary Valet Parking for Emergency Department Patients
Beginning August 18, Emergency Department patients can use free valet parking by pulling up to the Emergency Department entrance via Tappan Avenue. This service will be offered seven days per week from 7:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. Please see recommendations for self-parking below.
New Registration Location for Outpatient Services
Patients with imaging, same day surgery, pain clinic or endoscopy appointments should enter through the main hospital entrance to register. Please do not use the Emergency Department entrance for these services.
Updated Parking Options and Access for People with Disabilities
A new parking lot with primarily handicap-accessible spaces is now open at the corner of Park Street and Tappan Avenue for Emergency Department patients. Patients visiting the Emergency Department who wish to self-park are encouraged to use the lots along Park Street. To access the Hospital’s main entrance, it is recommended to use the lots near the main entrance and on Pearl Street and Gardner Street.
New Access Route to Main Entrance
In addition to the Park Street entrance, a new access road from O’Neil Boulevard has been opened to provide easier access to the hospital’s main entrance during construction.
