Servicios para el linfedema
Personalized Lymphedema Care
Sturdy Health Rehabilitation Services provides lymphedema therapy in the Sturdy Health Surgical Services offices because it plays a vital role in the continuum of surgical and cancer care. Lymphedema is a condition that causes swelling due to a buildup of lymphatic fluid. Lymphedema most commonly develops after cancer treatments, but can also occur following surgery, trauma, infection, or from congenital conditions. Patients undergoing treatment for breast, gynecologic, melanoma, urologic, head and neck, and other cancers are at risk for developing lymphedema following lymph node removal, radiation therapy, or other surgical interventions.
