How do you approach care?
My approach to care is both patient-centered and evidence-based. I prioritize clear, compassionate communication and aim to empower patients to take an active role in managing their health. I believe that trust and mutual respect are the foundation of strong patient relationships, and I work to create an environment where patients feel heard, informed, and supported. Additionally, I value close collaboration with the broader healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and deliver high-quality, well-coordinated treatment across all settings.
What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?
I was inspired to pursue a career in healthcare because I’ve always been drawn to helping others in a way that has real, lasting impact. Medicine offers the ideal balance of intellectual challenge, personal connection, and purpose. I chose cardiology because I wanted a career where I could excel and never grow tired of the work—it had to be my passion. Cardiology challenges me intellectually and allows me to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives, whether by managing chronic conditions, intervening in acute cases, or guiding preventive care. It’s a dynamic, rewarding field that continues to inspire and motivate me every day.
Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?
I chose to join Sturdy Memorial Hospital because of its mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive, community-focused environment. What excites me most is the opportunity to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that values both clinical excellence and compassionate service. Sturdy’s commitment to innovation, preventive care, and long-term patient relationships aligns closely with my own approach to cardiology.
What are your personal interests?
Outside of medicine, I enjoy staying active and spending quality time with my family. Hiking and playing tennis are two of my favorite activities that keep me engaged and energized. I also love cooking, especially Middle Eastern dishes, which connects me to my culture and allows me to share meaningful meals with loved ones. My greatest joy is spending time with my little family, especially my 3-year-old daughter, who brings so much energy and happiness to my life. I also have a passion for travel and exploring new places—one of my favorite destinations so far has been the Maldives, with its incredible natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere.
