How do you approach care?

I approach care with the belief that every patient is unique, and therefore deserves treatment that reflects their individual needs, goals, and priorities. My focus is always on helping people improve or regain function so they can return to the quality of life that matters most to them. I value shared decision-making, and I take time to ensure patients understand their options, feel heard, and feel supported throughout the process. Together, we build a plan that aligns with what they hope to achieve.

What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?

Medicine runs deep in my family—both of my parents and my grandparents are physicians—so from a young age, I had a front-row seat to the meaning and fulfillment that comes from helping others. I saw how profoundly healthcare can improve a life, not just physically but emotionally and socially, and I knew I wanted to be part of that work. When I discovered orthopedics, it became clear that this was where I belonged. The ability to help people move without pain, recover from injury, and reclaim the activities they love is what inspires me every day.

Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?

I was drawn to Sturdy Health because of its commitment to community-centered care. Working in a smaller community allows me to care not only for individuals, but often for their families across generations, and that continuity means a great deal to me. I enjoy knowing the people I care for, understanding their lives, and being part of a healthcare system that values relationships, accessibility, and trust.

What are your personal interests?

Outside of medicine, I cherish time spent in the outdoors—hiking with my dog, Henry, and skiing with my three kids are among my favorite ways to recharge. I also have a deep interest in philosophy, and I enjoy studying ideas that challenge how we think, live, and relate to one another. These interests keep me grounded, curious, and connected to the world beyond the clinic.
