Get to Know the Provider

How do you approach care?

I like to think of a doctor-patient relationship as a partnership. It's important to understand the motivators and barriers that each person faces when dealing with their disease process. This allows the physician and patient to work together to establish good health habits and achieve better treatment of their condition.

What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?

I worked in a medical office as a file clerk in high school then volunteered at a free clinic in college. Both experiences allowed me to see how doctors make an impact on a person's life, and this became something that I wanted to pursue. I'm a Med Peds (internal medicine-pediatrics) trained physician because while I enjoyed caring for adults in medical school, I found joy in taking care of pediatric patients and seeing them bounce back once their illness was addressed.

Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?

During my interview process, I found that Sturdy had a very welcoming environment and felt that their provider team was very committed to providing the best care for their patients/community.

What are your personal interests?

I love traveling and spending time with my family, Santa's Village and Storyland are extremely fun spots for us. I am an avid reader, like hiking and enjoy yoga.
