- Nurse practitioners and physician assistants
- Case managers
- Dietitians
- Pharmacists

Your hospitalist is the physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant who manages your care while you are in the hospital. Hospitalists coordinate all aspects of your hospital care, including ordering tests, prescribing medications, reviewing your results, monitoring your progress, and preparing you for discharge.

Care for Women During Labor and Delivery
Our obstetricians from our OB/GYN & Women’s Health practices will serve as the primary physician for people delivering their babies at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Laborists, who are OB/GYN physicians who work only in the hospital, will provide additional support for women during labor and delivery.
Working Together for Your Care
Your care team works together to understand your needs, coordinate your treatment, and help you prepare for the next step in your care. We encourage you and your family to ask questions and share concerns with your care team throughout your hospital stay.
