How do you approach care?
I approach patient care with compassion, openness, and a genuine desire to get to know the people I care for. I believe that building trust starts with listening and creating an environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns and asking questions. I strive to make healthcare feel approachable and collaborative, working together with each patient to develop a plan that reflects their individual needs, goals, and values. I hope my patients feel heard, supported, and comfortable being themselves when they walk through my door. Building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients is one of the most rewarding parts of being a healthcare provider.
My interest in healthcare began long before I became a nurse. Even as a child, I was naturally drawn to caring for others and was always the person who wanted to help when someone was hurt or needed support. That early sense of compassion and curiosity about helping others ultimately led me to pursue nursing.
After nine years at the bedside, I knew I wanted to build on my nursing experience and take a deeper role in supporting my patients’ health. Becoming a nurse practitioner allows me to continue the relationships I have valued throughout my nursing career while expanding my ability to evaluate, educate, and care for patients throughout their healthcare journey.
I chose internal medicine because I value the opportunity to care for the whole person and develop meaningful, long-term relationships with my patients. I enjoy getting to know each patient as an individual and working together to promote their health, address their concerns, and help them feel confident in their care.
I initially chose Sturdy Health as a nurse because of its strong sense of community. I valued being part of a close-knit team where I could build meaningful relationships with patients, families, and colleagues. Over the years, Sturdy has provided me with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop as a clinician, and it has played an important role in shaping my career.
As I transitioned into my role as a nurse practitioner, continuing my career at Sturdy felt like a natural fit. I am excited to continue growing within an organization I know and value while serving a community I care about. I look forward to bringing my nursing experience into this new role and continuing to build meaningful relationships with patients and the Sturdy team.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends, especially my boyfriend Ryan. A lot of my free time is also spent with my dog, Winston, who is an important part of my family. I love to travel and explore new places, and I’m always looking forward to my next adventure. I’m also a huge Taylor Swift fan and a lifelong New England Patriots fan, so you can usually find me enjoying a concert, cheering on the Patriots, or planning my next trip!
