Becker's Names Sturdy a 'Great Community Hospital', Honors CEO Aimee Brewer

ATTLEBORO, MA – Sturdy Health received multiple honors this month from Becker’s Hospital Review, a leading medical trade publication, including being named among “100 Great Community Hospitals”.

Hospitals were selected for the list based on nominations and insights from numerous rankings and ratings organizations.

“For Sturdy to be named to this list makes me especially proud, because it’s exactly what we strive to be for our community – great,” said Sturdy Health president & CEO Aimee Brewer. “It’s a true reflection of our staff, whose passion, relentless hard work, and commitment to excellence shines through every day.”

“The community hospitals recognized on this list are dedicated to clinical excellence, academic advancement and personalized, whole-person care delivery,” Becker’s wrote. “Their mission is to elevate health outcomes within the communities they serve.”

Brewer was also named to the publication’s “Community hospital CEOs to know” list. The executive was highlighted for her “transformative growth” at Sturdy. The health system is actively advancing on multiple capital projects, including a $60 million cancer and specialty care building and a $112 million emergency department expansion, and launched a landmark collaboration with Boston-based Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to bring world-class cancer services to the region. Brewer also serves on the boards of the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association and the American Hospital Association regional policy board.

Sturdy Health has received several recognitions from Becker’s this year. It was also named among the “Top Places to Work in Healthcare” and vice president and chief human resources officer Natalie Cook was named among the “Top Hospital and Health System CHROs to Know in 2025”.
