Surgery Preparation

Before the scheduled day of surgery, you will either have a pre-admission interview by telephone or at the hospital. This will be conducted by a day surgery nurse who will review your medical history and discuss your care plan with you.

On the night before surgery and morning of surgery, follow the instructions given to you about eating, drinking, smoking, and taking medications. Not following these instructions may increase the possibility of problems and may cause delays or cancellations.
